Homeopathic Medicine Helps Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Physician Says
Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman, ND, MSW, a licensed naturopathic physician board certified in homeopathic medicine, said in a recent Underground Health report that one can protect themselves from developing chronic fatigue syndrome and treat it effectively with natural treatments.
“In treating chronic fatigue, we have found overwhelmingly that homeopathic medicine produces the best results,” said Dr. Reichengerg-Ullman.
According to the physician, it is important in prevention to get adequate rest and regular aerobic exercise is important. “Nutritionally, daily vitamin C , B-complex, beta carotene and 30 mg of zinc are helpful in bolstering the immune system against infection,” said Dr. Reichenberg-Ullman.
Reichenberg-Ullman said doctors have debated in the medical journals over whether the disease even exists.
“It has been assumed to be a chronic post-viral syndrome, occuring after mononucleosis or influenza infection, or after infection with an intestinal virus,” she said, noting for a number of years it was thought that the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) was the culprit. “This is the virus which causes mononucleosis, the ‘kissing disease,’ which affects young adults with extreme tiredness, sore throat, swollen glands and liver inflammation.”
Natural medicine practitioners use a wide variety of homeopathic remedies in treating chronic fatigue syndrome, and it is important to see a homeopath for treatment rather than trying to treat yourself, said Dr. Reichenberg-Ullman.
“It is also important to remove the stressors, lifestyle factors and nutritional deficiencies which may predispose to weakening the vital force and developing chronic fatigue,” she said.
