Logan University (Chesterfield, MO) has launched the new Center for Learning and Leadership (CLL), an educational department, community and training hub designed to support the continuous improvement of teaching, learning and scholarly pursuits among its faculty and staff.

“Our team has been working extremely hard on the CLL, and we look forward to introducing it to our faculty and staff,” said Deshae Redden, EdD, MA, PMP, CIC, assistant vice president of operational excellence, planning and learning at Logan. “The CLL offers our team an additional opportunity to voice opinions and provide feedback, and we hope everyone takes full advantage of this new resource.”

The CLL provides online training, events and resources to support professional development. In-person opportunities, such as “LoganEd Talks”—the CLL’s take on TED Talks—are also planned.

Jess Judah, director of production and design at Logan, noted that the CLL is a central hub for professional development, offering a wealth of learning opportunities and resources. “It’s a place for faculty and staff—both in-person and online—to connect, collaborate, and discover valuable resources they may not have realized they needed. It’s all about learning and development,” she said.

While the CLL is currently only available to faculty and staff, plans are in place to expand services to include students in the future, according to Logan.

“This new hub provides an outstanding opportunity for Logan’s faculty and staff to come together, learn, and grow as a community,” said Logan President H. Garrett Thompson, DC, PhD. “I am grateful to the CLL leadership team for their dedication and hard work in bringing this vision to life.”
