Health care providers will now be able to earn a post-professional degree in advanced clinical practice from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) entirely online.

“The program has been redesigned to help busy physicians more easily complete this advanced degree while managing their practices,” said Randy Swenson, DC, MHPE, NUHS vice president for academic services.

The Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice (MSACP) degree provides an in-depth immersion into integrative medicine. The program is specially designed for first-professional health care providers including chiropractic physicians, naturopathic physicians, medical doctors and osteopathic doctors.

Students in the MSACP program will study a broad list of patient conditions and treatment paths, allowing them to enhance their diagnostic and clinical skills. Taught by expert faculty with diverse professional backgrounds, the program includes advanced coursework in neurophysiology, functional medicine, research methodology, nutrition, pharmacology and more.

Evangelia Skokos, DC, a 2013 MSACP graduate, highly recommends the program for both educators and those in private practice. “The program really gives you an advanced perspective on health care and the confidence to tackle many different medical conditions,” she said.

Specific coursework in research provides students with a better understanding of scientific literature. Dr. Skokos adds that the program gave her the knowledge she needed to publish articles in medical journals, specifically information on how the revision and acceptance process works.

The program will start in September 2017 with both full- and part-time options available. For a program overview and instructions on how to apply visit www.nuhs.edu/msacp or contact the Office of Admissions at (800) 826-6285 or admissions@nuhs.edu.
