The company that would in 2012 become Massage Horizons began in 2008 as Design Your Tomorrows, a certified Access Consciousness®️Bars Facilitator®️ (Energy work, a la “Reiki”) practice, which included presenting Access Consciousness seminars throughout the Eastern US and in California and Alaska. A year of study and two new certifications later, Life Coaching and Transformational (Personal Empowerment) Coaching were added to the menu. Soon after that, in 2010, I received my first professional massage therapy session and, after several days of profound discomfort, began my studies in massage therapy, with the goals of first becoming a licensed and certified practitioner and then seeing if it was possible to deliver the same long-term benefits to the neuromuscular system without first traumatizing that very system, in the process! Finally, in the Fall of 2012, I was able to achieve that second goal, and have since treated hundreds of satisfied patients and clients. In the process, I have been awarded online service provider Thumbtack.com’s “Top Pro” designation three times in a row, with a 96.7% satisfaction rating, become an In Network Preferred Provider for Massage therapy for several top insurers, the South Shore area’s designated massage therapist for AARP’s Silver Sneakers/Medicare wellness and several other programs, and am currently developing a methodology for teaching others this valuable protocol.
