Why you can’t miss this year’s biggest naturopathic event!
For more than four decades, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) has been the heart of the naturopathic profession, advancing the field, fostering community and providing top-tier continuing education. This year, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we invite licensed naturopathic doctors (NDs) and all licensed health care professionals to join us for AANP 2025, taking place July 10-12 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, CA.
With more than 40 expert speakers, and a breathtaking setting that blends education with relaxation, AANP 2025 promises to be the must-attend event for licensed NDs and licensed health care professionals. Whether you are looking to deepen your knowledge, connect with colleagues, or simply recharge in a beautiful setting, we’ve saved you a seat by the pool—because you deserve both quality education and a well-earned retreat. Exceptional Continuing Education
Staying at the forefront of naturopathic medicine means continually expanding your expertise. At AANP 2025, you’ll have the opportunity to earn up to 43.75 CEs from sessions that cover timely and transformative topics. Our carefully curated programming ensures that you’ll gain knowledge from leading experts in the field, with practical takeaways you can immediately implement in your practice.
This year’s speakers represent a diverse range of specialties, ensuring that no matter your focus—naturopathic gastroenterology, mental health, naturopathic neurological care, hands-on workshops or global health—there’s something for you. Take a look at a small selection of our speakers:
Join Peter Bongiorno, ND, LAc, as he explores how GABA, a crucial neurotransmitter, is produced in the brain in his session, “GABA Daba DOO: GABA Support for a Prehistoric Problem.” He will review how the GABA receptor functions, how GABAergic drugs for anxiety and sleep work, and which conditions—such as anxiety, insomnia and depression—are linked to low GABA levels.
Jill Ghormley, ND, MAMS, will discuss “Retained Primitive Reflexes and Their Impact on Childhood Development,” offering insights into how early neurological patterns affect long-term health.
For those interested in botanical medicine, Angela Hywood, ND, will present “Advanced Botanical Insights for Navigating Neuroinflammation and Neuroplasticity,” sharing cutting-edge research on herbal approaches to brain health.
Homeopathy practitioners won’t want to miss Paul Herscu, ND, DHANP, MPH, as he delves into “When the Body Fails: A Homeopath’s Perspective on Grave or Life-ending Illness,” offering a deep look at managing serious conditions with homeopathic medicine.
Penny Kendall-Reed, BSc, ND, will challenge conventional wisdom in her session, “Moving Through Perimenopause/Menopause: Why We Need to Rethink Treatment!,” providing a fresh perspective on supporting patients through hormonal transitions.
Scott Sherr, MD, will take a deep dive into “The GABA Deficiency Epidemic: Why We’re Anxious, Wired and Dying Sooner,” shedding light on the widespread impact of GABA imbalance and its role in modern chronic health issues.
A Community of Mentorship and Networking
One of the hallmarks of AANP 2025 is the opportunity to connect with colleagues and mentors who share your passion for naturopathic medicine. This year, we’ve dedicated Friday afternoon to “Mentorship Afternoon”—a unique time for early-career NDs and students to engage with seasoned practitioners, gaining insights and guidance to support their professional growth.
Beyond structured mentorship, networking opportunities abound throughout the event. The Welcome Reception and Alumni Receptions on Thursday provide the perfect kickoff to reconnect with old friends and forge new connections. Friday’s Global Health Mixer and Presidents’ Reception allow for rich discussions with leaders in the field, while the highly anticipated All Schools Dance is a chance to celebrate the profession with peers from across the country.
A Perfect Blend of Learning and Leisure
Palm Springs in July? Yes, please! The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort boasts clear skies, the largest pool in the Coachella Valley, and luxurious accommodations that provide the ideal setting to balance professional development with relaxation. We know how hard you work year-round, so take time between sessions to recharge poolside, explore the stunning surroundings, or unwind at the spa. AANP 2025 isn’t just about professional growth—it’s also about personal renewal.
Celebrate 40 Years of Naturopathic Progress
AANP 2025 is more than just another conference—it’s a milestone celebration of our profession’s journey over the last 40 years. From the pioneering days of licensing battles in the 1980s when only six states licensed naturopathic doctors, to the steady expansion of naturopathic medicine which is regulated in 26 jurisdictions today, we have come a long way. This is our time to honor the dedication and perseverance of those who have paved the way and to inspire the next generation to continue this vital work.
By attending AANP 2025, you are not only investing in your own professional development but also contributing to the collective strength and future of our field. This is your chance to be part of something bigger—to learn, connect and celebrate in an environment designed to support you as both a healer and an individual.
We’re so excited to welcome you to this special event that—once again—we’re giving you a little extra incentive: Use promo code Natural15 at checkout and enjoy 15 percent off your registration. Because this year is all about celebration, and what better way to celebrate than with a great deal?
Join us this July 10-12 in Palm Springs. We’ll be waiting for you by the pool. You can conveniently register for in-person or virtual attendance at naturopathic.org. Be sure to secure your spot now for AANP 2025! Don’t miss out on the premier naturopathic event of the year—where learning meets luxury and we
