Protocol for Life Balance (PFLB), NOW Health Group’s practitioner brand, was honored by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) as the 2024 Corporation of the Year at the AANP National Conference in Chicago, Il, July 11-13. PFLB also hosted a tour for members of AANP at their manufacturing facility in Bloomingdale, IL, demonstrating first-hand the strict cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) compliance and quality assurance processes the company follows in manufacturing both the NOW and the Protocol for Life Balance brands.
The award was presented by Kasra Pournadeali, ND President of the AANP, who remarked upon PFLB’s deep support for naturopathic doctors (ND) and the AANP, advocacy in supporting licensure in Illinois, NOW Director of Science and Nutrition Dr. Yalda Shokooh’s connection and leadership in the ND field, and having a naturopathic doctor, Sarah Hung, ND, on the NOW Health Group’s board.
“NOW has been a brand that naturopaths have trusted for decades, and since the Protocol For Life Balance line was launched in 2007 we have been even more actively involved with the Naturopathic community, supporting both the AANP and local Naturopathic groups,” said David Crosby, practitioner channel brand manager, who accepted the award. “We feel closely aligned in our philosophies of natural health, and we look forward to continuing to be a part of the Naturopathic community.”
A group of the doctors in town for the conference toured NOW Health Group on July 12, meeting with staff and NOW executives. According to the company, they were particularly impressed by the company’s state-of-the-art testing labs. “Several of the doctors commented that seeing our impressive facility would give them even more to talk about with their patents when they are recommending products from the Protocol line,” Crosby said.
