The Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) ha announced the appointment of Beth Martin as the new executive director for the OANP. The announcement comes as former executive director Laura Farr transitions to take the helm of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) after 12 years of service.

Martin comes to the OANP from a consulting practice, which focused on helping the businesses of holistic health practitioners thrive and expand through community connections and strategic marketing.

Prior to this, Martin worked at Reed College in the public relations department where she managed many of their community outreach projects and events. At Reed, Martin was known for her skills as a collaborator, organizer and an inspirational leader. “Laura Farr lead OANP through tremendous growth and many legislative victories for the naturopathic profession, and we’re thrilled to bring Beth’s skills in public relations and community outreach to make naturopathic medicine accessible to all Oregonians,”

Martin began her role as executive director at the end of October. In her new role, she will focus on advancing OANP’s strategic plan, which includes increasing public awareness of naturopathic doctors (NDs), and creating an obstacle free environment in which NDs can practice.
