INM Adds New Board Members

The Institute for Natural Medicine (INM), whose mission is to transform health care in the U.S. by increasing public awareness of

naturopathic medicine and bring proven natural medicine to patients in need, has appointed Jaclyn Chasse, ND, president of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), a sister organization to the INM, to a three-year term on the Institute’s board of directors. Together, both the INM and AANP strive to make naturopathic medicine available to all Americans as well as increase recognition of naturopathic physicians. The partnership between both organizations also helps increase funding and partnership opportunities.

Pattie Ptak owner of the Southern California-based Practice on Purpose, a marketing and practice development firm for doctors and a variety of other health entrepreneurs, has also been appointed to a three-year term on the INM board of directors.

Chasse, whose background includes clinical practice, lab sciences, extensive teaching and strategic leadership, is currently vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs with Emerson Ecologics in Manchester, NH. At Emerson, the largest distributor of dietary supplements to health care professionals, Chasse provides oversight for the medical education and quality teams.

Chasse is also the owner of Perfect Fertility, a clinical and educational practice focused on integrative approaches to infertility. She is a sought-after writer for both peer-reviewed journals and lay publications and speaker at national and international conferences, presenting on topics in regulatory affairs and integrative clinical practice, specifically in the specialty areas of women’s health, infertility, and pediatrics. Additionally, Chasse serves as a trustee for the American Herbal Products Association and is the immediate past-president of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Ptak is the creator of the Practice Success Academy, a comprehensive online business and marketing training course for integrative and

holistic health practitioners who want to have more time, money and freedom in their practice. In her 23 years of experience in the health industry, Ptak has developed multiple in-office and virtual programs. For the past three years, Ptak has led The Mindshare Collaborative, a business development and networking group for New York Times best-selling authors and leaders in the health and wellness arena. She is also a well-known speaker and leader in the health and wellness industry as well as a leading practice development consultant.
